HAPPY ROAD TRIP!

I'M SUPER HAPPY TODAY!
dzul changed shifts with me last minute,
so im having my off day today instead!
and guess what,
ab & i went on a ROADTRIP! :D
with maps and all!
DAMN COOL LIKE MAD LAH!
left home before lunch,
and took a bus to chinatown.
we wanted to go to MAXWELL FOOD CENTRE,
to buy the super nice tapioca cake!
EVERYBODY,
there's only one tapioca cake stall there,
AND YOU ALL GOT TO TRY IT!
it's really damn good! (:
we we're in a super good mood,
then suddenly while we're still on the bus,
IT STARTED TO RAIN!
wah sian until!!!!!
cos we planned to do alot of walking,
and then the rain was so heavy it'll spoil our plans! :(
reached chinatown,
and we asked around for directions to go to MAXWELL.
the rain was super heavy like mad,
and we only had a small umbrella.
by the time we reached maxwell,
i was all wet! :(
but that didnt dampen our mood at all!
we had our HAWKER FEAST,
and i quickly went to buy the tapioca cake!
HEAVEN LOR!
waited for the rain to become smaller,
before setting off for LAU PA SAT!
we had a few maps with us,
and ZOMG!
not easy to read hor!
it took me some time to figure it out,
but in the end,
i read maps LIKE A PRO!
we walked in the drizzle,
past McCallum, Stanley, Cecil, Amoy, Robinson, all the streets lah!
and then we came to the CBD area.
that's the capital tower!
AB insisted that i took a picture of this HAHA.

and we almost slipped a few times,
cos the floor was slippery with all the rain! :(
then we came to BOON TAT STREET,
then finally we arrived at LAU PA SAT!
super happy like mad!
AB has never done something like that before,
and she was super happy!
like, we walked around finding a place on our own,
quite fun one please!
like for me,
it's nothing much,
but for her,
it's like quite a feat.
SO CUTE LAH.
she was like grabbing me and screaming "DB! reach alr!"
the expression on her face is priceless please.

walked around and found the apple crumble stall!
i read abt it in 8 days,
and i was like, I MUST FIND IT.
LOOKS GOOD RIGHT!
tastes damn good too!
it's $2 for one,
maybe a bit steep,
but i think it's todali worth it!
I LOVE IT LIKE CRAZY!
bought 1 and shared with ab,
cos we decided to try first before buying back.
the crust is SO NICE AND BUTTERY,
i almost went crazy.
the inside is shiok too!

IS HAPPY UNTIL!
i mean,
we could've easily took a train or a bus everywhere,
but the fun is in the walking and finding out everything on your own,
and the COMPANY! :D
we were really super happy lor!
oh and it's SO GOOD,
we bought a box back for everyone to try!
AND EVERYONE LOVES IT!

so a bit hard to find.
but should be no problem with the unit number lah! (:
next, we didnt know where to go,
and AB suddenly asked me to bring her to see raffles.
SO CUTEEEEEEE.
and so we studied the map for a while,
and set off for singapore river!
i took her to the merlion park first,
since we'd pass by anyway (:
SUPER GOOD MOOD.
although it was drizzling,
and we were sticky and tired,
BUT STILL SUPER GOOD MOOD.
finally reached somewhere in marina bay!

to be honest,
it was our first time at the merlion park okay.
even when it was stb training we just hurriedly whizzed past.

we are super unglam, but nevermind (:
i think the small one look like shit,
but AB insisted that i took a photo of the "baby merlion"

then we came to anderson bridge!
we were standing right in the middle of the road lor!
got cars on both sides!
had to quickly take the photo and cross the road!

okay and so we came to see raffles,
and she HAD TO take this shot.
and then this one,
cos she said "eh DB take again! my leg put wrong side!"

after that she still wanted to look for the WHITE one.
and so we went!
and omg lah, it's not on the map,
so we took some time to find it.
I KNOW, i saw it during STB training,
but i forgot where was it!
so we walked everywhere to find it!

FINALLY (:
and then ab started asking me MANY "cute kids question"
you know, those super innocent and retarded questions that kids always ask.
like, the very hard to answer kind.
"why one is white and one is black?"
"got meaning one ah?"
"no lah, only different material"
[cos i really dont know! HAHA!]
"huh! i thought got different meaning!"
"DONT KNOW LAH! ask your teacher."
HAHAHAHAHAHAHA.
when i showed her the parliament house and the supreme court,
she was like "WHOAAA. got police leh!"
i love the fascination on her face :D
then we walked to central to catch 190 back home.
super tired already lor!

and in the end i was the one who fell asleep :p
omg today rocks like mad.
off day was spent so much more meaningfully today with ab than with the laptop.
seriously.
i love it lah.
i didnt expect myself to enjoy it so much,
cos of the rain and everything,
but AB made it todali fun.
we're planning for more road trips! :D
i'll definitely do this with my kids next time (:
